What’s the best way to get people to buy your products?
It’s social proof. The more ways you have to prove that your product/ service is amazing and will help the community, the more profitable you will be.
But how do you go about gaining social proof?
By asking, of course. To sweeten the deal, incentivise it.
Send out an email to your customers and supporters asking for a video/review/selfies. Make sure there’s a deadline. And make sure you dangle that carrot. How about a nice discount or a gift to win?

- Make sure to follow up.
- Make this a regular thing to do and ask for this often.
- Use this social proof in ads, on your website, in your emails and in your socials.
How about a challenge? This month, try to get as many forms of social proof from current and past customers. This can be in the form of:
- Selfies with your product
- Videos with your product
- Reviews of your product
To paraphrase Ezra Firestone, ‘Your business is really just the sum total of a series of assets designed to drive people to convert.’ The more of these assets you have the better your business is.
